Privacy policy

What data this tool uses, where it is kept and how to exercise your rights. In short: your quotes stay in your browser, we use no cookies, and we only keep your email if you type it into the waitlist.

What stays on your device

• Your details, your clients’ details and your quotes are kept only in your browser (local storage). We do not receive them and do not send them to any server.
• You can export or delete them with the buttons in the “My data in this browser” section, or by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings.

Share links

When you copy a link, the quote data (yours and your client’s) is carried inside the address itself, after the # symbol. Browsers do not send that part to our servers. But anyone who receives the link can see the quote, and the apps you send it through (messaging, email) may store or process it. Share it only with people who should see it.

Anonymous usage counts

To find out whether the tool is useful, we count, anonymously, how often a page is loaded, a quote is started, printed or saved as a PDF, a link is copied or the Pro button is tapped. For each event we keep only: the type of event, the page (trade and language), the source and campaign in the address (the utm_source and utm_campaign parameters) and the date.

• We use no cookies and store nothing in your browser for this.
• We do not store your IP address, any identifier or the contents of your quotes.
• We respect your browser’s “Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control” signals: with either on, nothing is counted.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the service is useful, using data that does not identify you.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical connection data, such as the IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure, under its own terms. We do not use that data or keep it in our counts.

Pro waitlist

If you tap the Pro button and choose to type your email, we keep it together with the page you sent it from (trade and language) and the date. It is optional: you can use everything without giving it.

• Purpose: only to tell you when that feature exists. We send no advertising and do not pass it to anyone.
• Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• How long: until we tell you, until you ask us to delete it or, at most, 12 months after you left it, whichever comes first.
• Where: in a database run by our provider Cloudflare, which acts as a processor and may process data outside your country under the safeguards in its terms.

Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us for access to your email, to correct or delete it, to object to its use, for a portable copy, or withdraw your consent. Write to privacy@testa.dev from the email address concerned (so we can check it is yours) and we will reply within one month at most. If you ask, we delete it from the waitlist and confirm it to you.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If we change anything important, we will update this page and its date.
